(Eagle News) — World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) stars Sasha Banks and Naomi have recently garnered media buzz. The pair was scheduled to compete on Monday night, May 16, 2022, in a six-pack challenge main event on RAW alongside Nikki A.S.H, Doudrop, Becky Lynch, and Asuka to determine the No. 1 contender for RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at Hell In A Cell.

It was reported, however, that both Banks and Naomi went to the office of head of talent relations John Laurinaitis’s office before the event, left their championship belts and then left the arena. This forced WWE creative to rewrite the main event changing it to Asuka facing off against Lynch.

According to Fightful Select, Naomi was supposed to win the match and face Belair while Banks was to have a singles program with Smackdown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey leaving the Women’s Tag Titles in limbo. Both women are said to have been upset with the lack of creative direction the tag titles were heading.

On the recent episode of “Friday Night SmackDown” it was announced that both women would be indefinitely suspended and stripped of their titles for walking out.

Fans have also noted the merchandise of both Banks and Naomi have been removed from the WWE store.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE has not released both superstars despite their merchandise being removed.

There has been a recent pattern of disgruntled WWE superstars jumping ship from WWE to All Elite Wrestling, leaving fans wondering who would be the next talent to leave WWE.
