(Eagle News) — The United States Embassy will be closed to the public on Friday, Nov. 10, in observance of Veterans Day, an American holiday.

In an advisory issued on Thursday, the US embassy said also closed on that day are its affiliate offices.

Regular services in those offices will resume on Monday, Nov. 13, the US embassy said.

“Veterans Day is celebrated every year in the US on Nov. 11, which is the day that major hostilities of World War 1 formally ended with the signing of the armistice at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918,” the US embassy noted.
