(Eagle News) — A new public opinion poll published Tuesday reveals nearly two-thirds of Canadians asked do not support the Freedom Convoy protesting COVID-19 restrictions.
The poll, done over the weekend by Leger for the Association for Canadian Studies, suggests 62% oppose the protest that is now in its 12th day.
Only 32% support the protesters.
The survey also shows 65% of those asked believe the Freedom Convoy represents a small minority of Canadians who they describe as selfish. The online survey, conducted from Feb. 4 to Feb. 6, 2022, polled 1,546 Canadians, 18 years of age or older, randomly recruited from Leger’s online panel.The poll has a margin of error of ±2.49%, 19 times out of 20.
