(Eagle News) — For a second time, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has tested positive for COVID-19.

“I’ll be following public health guidelines and isolating,” Trudeau tweeted Monday. “I feel okay, but that’s because I got my shots.”

Trudeau also tested positive for COVID-19 in January.

In March 2020, Trudeau isolated himself for two weeks after his wife tested positive for the infection.

He used his announcement this morning to urge people to get vaccinated and take booster shots.

“Let’s protect our healthcare system, each other, and ourselves,” he said.

Last week Trudeau attended the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles.
