Business news: Bezos steps down, the EV competition steps up

(Eagle News) — Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, has announced he will be stepping down from his position this year. During his 26 year tenure as CEO, Bezos grew the company into a multi-trillion dollar giant, even in the face of an economic downturn due to the pandemic and intensifying scrutiny over its anticompetitive practices.

The electric vehicle competition is starting to heat up with news from both industry veterans and newcomers alike. Ford and Google on Monday announced a partnership to use the Internet company’s services to power future in-car features and improve factory efficiency.
