(Eagle News) — The Phantom of the Opera, Broadway’s longest-running show, will hold its final curtain call on April 16, 2023.

Recently celebrating its 35th anniversary, the show opened on January 26, 1988 and will have staged over 13,900 performances by the time it goes dark.

The original closing date of February 18th was extended due to a spike in ticket sales to sold out crowds after the closure was announced.
