New York (Eagle News) — Times Square would normally be bustling and crowded with tourists, office workers and vendors shoulder to shoulder this time of year. However, with “New York State on Pause” and the closure of nonessential businesses due to the global pandemic, the crossroads of the world stood almost empty on May 28, 2020, the last day of the shutdown order. Parts of the state began phase one of the “NY Forward Reopening” plan on May 15. Governor Andrew Cuomo announced today that New York City is on track to enter phase one of reopening on June 8.
