TAMPA, Florida (Eagle News)– Hundreds of mallgoers created lines that stretched from one side of the Westshore Plaza Mall to the other, as fans of Sanrio products were eager to see what the Hello Kitty Cafe touring truck had to offer.

One couple was determined to brave the long line and buy limited time Hello Kitty products, however, they were expecting a little more from the cafe.

“I was hoping that they would have actual coffee being sold,” said Dom and Ariel.

For true Hello Kitty fans, though, they weren’t there for coffee. What brought them out were the merchandise such as thermal bottles, bags, and fashion wear.

According to the Sanrio website, the Hello Kitty Cafe initially launched the Truck service in 2014 at the Hello Kitty Con in Southern California. There are two Hello Kitty Cafe Trucks traveling across the U.S. which appeal to not only the young but also to the company’s broadening adult consumers.
